Mom tells me that today’s my last day in DPS Pre-Nursery. Mom also says I may have a farewell party. But what does that mean?
Will Aashmi ma’m cry today because today’s her last day with us? Will I get a new Teddy and some Gems because it’s the farewell party? Will I get to meet Kabir, Suyash and Kavya again? Will I still go to daycare?
Mom also tells me that I am graduating to DPS Nursery. How will my new ma’m be like? Will she like me as much as Aashmi ma’m did? Will she pinch my cheeks always?
Come on, why don’t any of you help me find the answers for these questions? I promise will give you half of my Gems packet.

We at Delhi Public School, Pre-Nursery wing had good fun this Nov 30. It was PTA….for those of you who don’t have kids and never went to school themselves…let me tell you that PTA means Parents Teachers Association.
Since it is winter here in Gurgaon, we organized ourselves outside in the sun and did some activities, and also played some games. While the parents stood around and watched us….I am sure my parents were thankful for the sun.
We finally had some snacks…and eventually my teacher Ms Ashmi madam broke the suspense and gave away my report card to my parents.
I saw my parents getting all mushy & excited when they received the report card. They went thro’ it from start to finish and in between would look at me with pride in their eyes. I was sitting a few feet away and just so I don’t end up embarrassing them by staring back at them….I would look away and keep busy my play dough. And when they were not looking, I would steal a glance. I got to agree, it feels happy to make your parents happy.
Thank God they don’t have ranks in pre-nursery.
By the way, before heading out for the PTA meeting our teacher assured us that we needn’t worry. She said she had given all of us good ratings and didn’t expect any parent to get angry.
I guess at such a small age, we need such assurances to keep us going.
Do take a look at some of the pics my father clicked at the PTA meeting today.

As promised yesterday, here is my video of the Lohri dance at Delhi Public School, Pre-Nursery. Mind you….I am all of three and a half…so don’t expect Madhuri’s ‘jhatkes’ from me!
If you notice, without the ‘jhatkes’ itself…I am still the best dancer. A career in dance? Nah….am still thinking about it.

One of my aunts called Sumathy was born in Punjab and she ended being quite a fighter. As not a fighter pilot, but with an opinion of her own. So much so, she thinks that I look better in brown than in pink….I mean, shouldn’t I be the one that knows what I look good in?
Anyway, so when I got a chance to dress up as a Punjabi girl for a Lohri song in my school Delhi Public School, Pre-Nursery in Gurgaon….I jumped at the opportunity. Mind you…it was my first group dance performance.
The misers that my parents are, they went in for hiring the Punjabi girls attire. I requested them and finally pleaded too….to buy me my own pair of Punjabi clothes….but they just wouldn’t listen.
Anyway, on the day I went to school in hired colthes and ended up being the best dancer during the Lohri dance. Want to see my video? I am post that tomorrow. For now, why don’t you just try the pics given below:
