I am all pink today!

Our class is performing along with all other DPS kids today for the annual talent show. I am wearing a nice frock which ma’m gave from school. Pink make up too. Pink lipstick and pink powder. I am a pink girl today!

Amma and Appa were so proud to see me perform. It was super exciting. Everybody clapped so loud for us. I think our class did the best, though Amma tells me everybody did their best.

My new skill – Addition

I have recently learnt to add numbers..I now know that ten plus ten is equal to twenty. My mom teaches me this using lots of beads and flash cards. I think they are wonderful things that help me learn how to add numbers. Here’s a photo of a flash card from a set that we bought from Landmark. And you know what, I love going to Landmark because it has so many books and colours and toys. Whenever we go there, Appa gets busy with his books section and Amma and I sit and browse through all the kids’ books. It’s fun 🙂

Mom wants me to learn classical music

I know that my mom loves listening to classical music…you know, very slow and melodious music. Most of the mornings she plays some nice songs from the I Pad and we sit and listen to it. I also lpve listening to Yashomati Maiya a lot. Mom says that if I learn classical music, I wil be able to sing Yashomati Maiya nicely.

So, on Vijayadashami day, mom took me to an aunty’s house and she had agreed to teach me music. Now I will have music classes three days a week and dance classes twice a week. I am getting busier by day!

Khwaish’s happy birthday party

I’m so excited today. Evening, we are going to Khwaish’s first birthday party in a nice hotel. Khwaish is my Appa’s friend Mukesh uncle’s baby girl. She’s a cute girl and we all call her jumping joy as she is always jumping on people’s laps 🙂

Amma told me that we have to wear Black because it should contrast with the birthday girl’s dress. She actually had to buy me a black and white top for the party. And I also helped mom to select gifts for the baby. I like it when mom asks me to help. I feel like a big girl then.

The party was so much fun. Jiya didi and Yachu were there too. Here’s a pic for you, with Yachu.

Dancing dandiya with Amma and my friends

Today is the dandiya party at my apartment complex. Mom and I wore nice salwar suits and went down to the party. I wore a green colous anarkali suit for the first time. (I know the name because my mom keeps talking about clothes to her friends all the time).

We bought two pairs of dandiya sticks and then mom taught me how to dance with the sticks. Avika and Molu danced with me too. But I dont have a picture because Appa wasnt there to take a picture. He was out exercising 🙁

Mom also bought me some nice clips from the shops nearby. It was all good fun. Everyone said I danced really well. Super fun day!
