My parents come to school

Today is the Parents Teachers Meeting in my school and my Amma and Appa are also going to the meeting with me. Our class, Pre F, was really decorated nicely for the event and the teachers had kept all our books on the tables so that our parents can see the books. My parents were so happy to see my books.

Then they spoke to my Enakshi ma’m and asked how I was doing in the school. Looks like I am doing well, because they were thrilled while speaking to Ma’m. Though my mom keeps saying I need to read and write every day so that I learn everything and grow up to be a smart girl. I’m sure I’ll grow up to be one smart girl 🙂

I’m cooking in school today

Today, it’s a salad day at school. Ma’m asked us to take chopped coriander and whole lemons to school. Mom packed them in nice boxes and sent in my school bag.

When I reached school, I spoke to Kabeer and Smriti Agarwal and they also told me that they’ve got some macaroni and other things in their boxes.

Then ma’m collected all the boxes and helped us make nice salads by mixing all things in everyone’s boxes. There were so many things and so many colours.

Ma’m also packed some salad for our parents to taste. Amma tasked it and told me it was amazing. I’m glad!

When I asked my father to take a day off

I have no idea why my father is so obsessed with Facebook. Everything and anything that I do goes into his Facebook profile as a status update.

Like today I asked him if he could ask his boss in Nimbuzz to take a day off and watch TV and play in the park with me…and he refused. I wasn’t upset with the fact that he refused…but what was the need to put it on his Facebook? These adults, I tell you…

My second Star Performer certificate

When in Nursery I had once won the Star Performer of the Week certificate. I just repeated that feat today as well – and won the Star Performer of the Week in my Prep class as well.

I am damn proud. Last year, I didn’t really understand its value…but now I am getting a hang of being the cream of the class.

When I asked my parents what this certificate meant (because I wanted to really know why and what I was proud of), they just smiled. Quite a dampner.

I still don’t believe that all the students in a class are given this certificate on rotation, to encourage them.
