I’m learning to dance!

My mother has always been talking about something called Bharatanatyam for quite a while. Honestly, I had no clue what it was. Mom told me it’s some sort of a dance. Then one day a very nice looking lady came home, who, I later realized would become my Bharatanatyam ma’m. I was a little scared to join the class in the beginning. But then, mom told me that Esha, Deepika and Shravani also will join me. Then I knew it was going to be fun.

And it is actually so much fun. I have to go to classes twice a week and ma’m said I will get to wear nice anklets if I dance really well. I’m looking forward to it 🙂

I’m cooking in school today

Today, it’s a salad day at school. Ma’m asked us to take chopped coriander and whole lemons to school. Mom packed them in nice boxes and sent in my school bag.

When I reached school, I spoke to Kabeer and Smriti Agarwal and they also told me that they’ve got some macaroni and other things in their boxes.

Then ma’m collected all the boxes and helped us make nice salads by mixing all things in everyone’s boxes. There were so many things and so many colours.

Ma’m also packed some salad for our parents to taste. Amma tasked it and told me it was amazing. I’m glad!

My drawing

Today mom was not feeling well. So father came early – that’s at 8 pm- and gave me dinner. After dinner while he checked his emails, I drew this piece.

When my father came back from office I heard my mother say: “she was a darling. She offered to wipe the floor if she dropped water and also offered water to me, from her water bottle.”

“didn’t disturb me at all….”

I was happy to know that my mother liked my behaviour.

Now for the drawing: Spot the cloud, rain, rainbow, bird and the grass.

Singing Kolaveri Di

The song is all the rage. I hear it on TV, Radio and even on my mother’s desktop. I hear it is some son in law of Rajinikanth….think somebody called Dhanush…..who has sung it.

Apparently a Global phenomenon and all. Expectations from me were less but when Sonu Nigam’s song also sang his version my mother started created trouble for me. Now, she wanted me to also come up with my own version….and here it is. With a little help from her.

I dance away while my mother is ill

My mother has been keeping ill. I am not the one to have fun while my parents are suffering but still when I didnt have to sleep at 9 pm (as my mother would have forced me) I was very excited. It was almost as if I had won a lottery….wait a minute….at my age I am not supposed to know lotteries. So, it was almost as if somebody had bought home a 5Star chocolate.

My father also sang and danced with me, and even when he became tired (at 37 he isn’t getting any younger) I continued.

Here is my Dhinika Chikka performance (on the popular Salman Khan starrer “Wanted”). Please note that this was at 11 pm – could have woken up the Christ. (Tip: Tom is Christmas!)
