I’m cooking in school today

Today, it’s a salad day at school. Ma’m asked us to take chopped coriander and whole lemons to school. Mom packed them in nice boxes and sent in my school bag.

When I reached school, I spoke to Kabeer and Smriti Agarwal and they also told me that they’ve got some macaroni and other things in their boxes.

Then ma’m collected all the boxes and helped us make nice salads by mixing all things in everyone’s boxes. There were so many things and so many colours.

Ma’m also packed some salad for our parents to taste. Amma tasked it and told me it was amazing. I’m glad!

My second Star Performer certificate

When in Nursery I had once won the Star Performer of the Week certificate. I just repeated that feat today as well – and won the Star Performer of the Week in my Prep class as well.

I am damn proud. Last year, I didn’t really understand its value…but now I am getting a hang of being the cream of the class.

When I asked my parents what this certificate meant (because I wanted to really know why and what I was proud of), they just smiled. Quite a dampner.

I still don’t believe that all the students in a class are given this certificate on rotation, to encourage them.

Birthday Card from my school

Today I got a birthday card from my school. This is one of my firsts because nobody has evergiven me a birthday card – probably because they think I don’t know to read (which is actually true) or probably because nobody cares.

The truth is, after reciving the birthday card from my teacher I didn’t know what to do. I stood there….waiting for the next instructions. Thats when my teacher said: “Open it and see the nice flowers. And also show it to your father and mother.”

My mother was also excited. When I showed her, she did mention about recieving birthday cards from my father when they weren’t married. Apparently, my father has stopped giving my mother birthday cards after their marriage.

If you haven’t yet got all the hints I have been giving you…here is a straight one: “Wish me happy birthday now!”

And the winter break is over

I was so excited today. School reopened after the winter break. I hadn’t seen my friends in 2 weeks and I was waiting to meet them and my teachers.

We didn’t study anything today because all of us were so busy talking and playing. Ma’m also didn’t say anything when we were playing. Looks like she missed us too.

God! Its so nice to go back to school. Winter uniform is nice too, with jackets and all.

Though I will miss the holidays too – spending time in the park morning and evening was cool too. Ain’t I confusing?

Star Performer in my class

Posted: January 6th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: My Firsts, School | Comments Off on Star Performer in my class

This is the first time I am being labelled the star performer of my class. Don’t believe me…check out the certificate I recieved.

Though I did overhear my parents talk that this certificate is issued to all students in a class on a rotation basis to motivate the students as well as their parents. But I don’t believe them. What do they know of the sweat and blood I had to shed to get this certificate.

I warned my mother that this was the first of many certificates I am going to get, but my mother only smiled. Sometimes I don’t get her at all.
