Today I got a birthday card from my school. This is one of my firsts because nobody has evergiven me a birthday card – probably because they think I don’t know to read (which is actually true) or probably because nobody cares.
The truth is, after reciving the birthday card from my teacher I didn’t know what to do. I stood there….waiting for the next instructions. Thats when my teacher said: “Open it and see the nice flowers. And also show it to your father and mother.”

My first Birthday Card
My mother was also excited. When I showed her, she did mention about recieving birthday cards from my father when they weren’t married. Apparently, my father has stopped giving my mother birthday cards after their marriage.
If you haven’t yet got all the hints I have been giving you…here is a straight one: “Wish me happy birthday now!”

This is the first time I am being labelled the star performer of my class. Don’t believe me…check out the certificate I recieved.

Though I did overhear my parents talk that this certificate is issued to all students in a class on a rotation basis to motivate the students as well as their parents. But I don’t believe them. What do they know of the sweat and blood I had to shed to get this certificate.
I warned my mother that this was the first of many certificates I am going to get, but my mother only smiled. Sometimes I don’t get her at all.

Today was the first sports day of my life. I have been attending school for last 3 yars but today is the first sports day that I will be attending.
I am participated in a song and dance sequence and my parents were also there to witness me. Though I couldn’t spot them in the crowd….but till the song ended I kept on searching for them. Here is a photograph taken before I left for the school today.

My teachers say I draw and color well. Some day I hope to become an artist.
In fact, yesterday my parents took me to an artists and asked if they should buy an Easel for me…but the artist laughed them away. He has instead asked my parents to buy me water colors. Lets see.

I donned the role of a Mantri in BalRamayan. I had a meaty role but missed out when I had to spend 20-25 days in Kerala after my grandfather passed away. Neverthaless, it was a great experience.
Mind you, this by no means is my first theatre experience. I am a pro.
