My dolls
Posted: May 7th, 2012 | Author: Rhea Rajan | Filed under: My Firsts | Comments Off on My dollsThe doll in the front is my first doll. Don’t even remember who got it for me but looks like I will save it for ever.
The doll that’s around my neck is a more recent one. Whenever I feel like imitating my mother I pull these dolls out.
Birthday Card from my school

This is one of my firsts because nobody has evergiven me a birthday card – probably because they think I don’t know to read (which is actually true) or probably because nobody cares.
The truth is, after reciving the birthday card from my teacher I didn’t know what to do. I stood there….waiting for the next instructions. Thats when my teacher said: “Open it and see the nice flowers. And also show it to your father and mother.”
My mother was also excited. When I showed her, she did mention about recieving birthday cards from my father when they weren’t married. Apparently, my father has stopped giving my mother birthday cards after their marriage.
If you haven’t yet got all the hints I have been giving you…here is a straight one: “Wish me happy birthday now!”
My own song and dance

In fact, he is telling the truth….I have seen his poems (pathetic!). It is the boasting that I hate.
So I thought, why not try my hand at my own song and dance…here in this video my father records my song and dance. Very heavily inspired by the great time I had at holi.
I try the trampoline in Metropolitan Mall
Posted: January 14th, 2012 | Author: Rhea Rajan | Filed under: My Firsts | Comments Off on I try the trampoline in Metropolitan MallEverytime we would go to the Metropolitan Mall I would see bigger kids jumping up and down the trampoline. I would ask my parents and they would say that I was too small for it.
Today, while we were passing by I again casually remarked that I wanted to do it. Didn’t know my parents would readily agree….and gosh what a rush. I had initial jitters but God, I loved it or what.
My mother and my father were so scared when I was going up and down….guess thats what is called love. But one thing…when I came down, I didnt want to go up again.
I am all for adventure…but little every day. Before I forget, this was my first adventure sports!
My Mother’s Note: Rhea didn’t think twice before saying that she wanted to do it. Like the scared father I tried to dissuade her but she wouldn’t listen. Even after three minutes on the Trampoline, ….she still wasn’t scared!!
